We are proud to announce that the Mercedes Benz V Class has been Awarded a 5 Star Rating by the Euro NCAP
As you all know we are big fans of Mercedes Benz here at CHM Chauffeuring and in particular the V Class. You won’t be surprised to know how happy we are about this news. It further supports our belief that the Mercedes Benz V Class is a truly outstanding vehicle.
For the second year running our vehicles come out on top against the competition. Last year the C Class and V Class were awarded the same 5 star rating by Euro NCAP which is great news all round for CHM Chauffeuring and our clients.
The five stars have been awarded for occupant safety, child safety and pedestrian protection. In addition, the Mercedes Benz V Class assistance systems give this car the highest possible score in the Euro NCAP rating.
The V Class provides a seamless interaction between active and passive safety systems in the vehicle. The cabin is built inside a solid structure which offers first class safety for passengers cell. The restraint systems and driver assistance systems have been highly effective under rigorous testing. Put simply this means the Mercedes Benz V Class performs well in crash protection tests as boasts a second to none collision avoidance technology.
Here are the test results percentages :
- Adult safety – 93%
- Child safety – 87%
- Pedestrian Safety – 67%
- Safety Assistance Systems – 85%
The high ratings you see above helped get the Mercedes Benz V Class five out of all five stars available. It is proof, if at all needed, that Mercedes Benz have continued to excel in all areas of the luxury car market where other manufacturers have faltered recently.
Euro NCAP Crash Test of Mercedes-Benz V-Class Videos
The video above shows a front end impact at 35mph. 40% of the width of the car strikes a deformable barrier. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver’s door at 30mph. The car is then propelled sideways at 18mph for the pole test with a rigid pole.

“We will continue to intensify our efforts in the future, so as to provide the best possible safety not only for drivers and passengers in a Mercedes-Benz, but also for more vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.” says Professor Rodolfo Schöneburg, Head of Vehicle Safety, Durability and Corrosion Protection at Mercedes-Benz.
AMG Model Equipment 2015
From today all V-Class models will be available with the AMG package if required. This will give you cosmetic changes to the classic V Class such as a newly styled front and rear aprons. You will also get AMG side sill panels with a bigger roof spoiler and 19″ AMG alloy wheels with low profile tires. The braking system is an awesome 17-inch with the callipers sporting Mercedes-Benz lettering.
On the inside you get air vents in silver chrome, a sports instrument cluster in brushed aluminum, carbon-fiber style trim, black headliners and aluminum pedals. In the safety department you can also get the AGILITY CONTROL suspension system with frequency-dependent variable damping. How about that for a tech spec.
“With the V-Class AMG Line we are now addressing further target groups who are looking for even more individuality and emotional appeal.” says Volker Mornhinweg of Mercedes-Benz.
